Rocking Ant
The intention behind my creation of this project was to create something out of the ordinary. I came up with the idea of making a rocking ant, a playful twist on the classic rocking horse. It is made from Walnut and Ash, chosen to to resemble the colors of an ant while also reflecting the traditional tones used in rocking horses. Throughout the process, I learned how to overcome challenges when using the bandsaw, particularly with cutting detailed and precise shapes. I also gained valuable experience in combining different materials in a clean and cohesive way.
